How Years From Today Works
The calculator advances the date by whole calendar years and preserves the month and day whenever that date exists in the target year.
Leap-Day Handling
If the starting date is February 29 and the target year is not a leap year, the result is clamped to February 28 so it remains a valid calendar date.
Years vs. 365-Day Periods
A calendar year is not always 365 days because leap years contain 366. Use Years From Today for calendar anniversaries and a day-based calculation when the requirement specifies an exact number of days.
Common Uses
Use year-based calculations for anniversaries, eligibility dates, long-term milestones, renewals and plans tied to a calendar anniversary.
